I have an interest in macrophotography and photomacrography, and quite a bit of experience in macrophotography for scientific illustration. On my web site (http://www.savazzi.net), I discuss equipment and techniques for this purpose, as well as my professional background as a scientist.

As a photographer, I use Nikon equipment (currently a D200) and a rather large variety of optics for macro work (Micro Nikkor, Zeiss, Leitz, Wild, Leica, Olympus and others). I dabbled a little also in IR and UV photography, photomicrography and a few other specialty fields. I am more interested in equipment and technique, than artistic aspects of specialty photography.

I don't really regard myself as a collector, but I have an interest in enlarger lenses, especially El Nikkor ones, as well as unusual or special-purpose types of enlarger lenses of other brands.
